4:08 PM
only fools say
the timing isn’t right
believe me
when you meet the
right person
you will
never
look at a clock again.
2:12 PM // What could have been
I ran to the end of the earth to peer over the edge
To see what lies beneath the brink
I saw
All the what ifs,
And should haves,
And lost loves.
Erased drawings,
Deleted words,
Quashed ideas.
Looking down at all these counterfeit failures
Intermixed,
Together,
As one.
They created a magnificent emulsion of unified disappointment.
A cohesive portrait of human frustration.
An immeasurable excess of disillusion,
And pain.
Curiously forming a chaotically alluring blanket beneath
That without,
We would not understand what defeat is.
I had to peek over the edge of the earth to see
A world without failure is a world without success,
A world without hate is a world without love,
A world without disappointment is a world without satisfaction,
A world without pain is a world without joy.
A realm of things that almost existed but didn’t
1:28 AM
she was a piece of pottery
alluring
yet
molded by someone else
weak
touched
cold
and eventually broken
and again
and again
and again
and finally
she rose from the dusty shards
her shattered pieces became whole
became one
and
she became a mosaic
11:42 AM
darling,
You are like sweet raindrops after a drought
And he hid under his umbrella
You are like a wild rose
And he plucked it and let it wilt
You are like the sound of a live choir, exuberant
And he let his phone ring
darling,
You are exquisite.
9:35 AM
when life seems too overwhelming
think about the times that you
wished
for all the things you have right now
9:37 AM
your hands can plant seeds
your feet can carry you
your eyes can see the good
your lips can speak the truth
your mind can create the most exquisite pictures
your ears can hear stories
your body is strong,
powerful,
and remarkable
your body is your superpower
1:09 PM
Life is a 7 billion piece jigsaw puzzle,
we all belong.
even without one piece, the puzzle cannot be completed.
putting a puzzle together can be wearing,
you need every piece to put it together, and every piece has a place.
we all have our perfect fit,
macro and micro,
the puzzle pieces that are directly connected to us,
the ones we touch and feel
are the people we love, nuzzled near us in this grand visad.
close to some, far from most,
we all play a part in the beautiful picture created by all the tiny individual pieces
maybe you’re a corner piece,
maybe you’re right in the middle of the picture,
maybe your piece is still lingering in the package, waiting to be found.
just the same, we all fit together
perfectly.
9:28 PM
He was a bright, boldly burning fire
with a type of warmth I’d never felt before.
I wanted to sit by that fire forever, and watch it burn
But when the morning came,
the fire started to dim.
I didn’t want to walk away
I couldn’t have
I knew I’d never feel that type of warmth again.
So I put a flame in a lantern
And I carried the lantern with me
It lit the dark paths when I couldn’t see.
In the day, I carried it still, even when I could see.
When you feel a warmth like that,
You should carry it with you always
In your lantern
And in your heart
11:56 AM
He invited her in for a swim
Charmed,
she accepted.
they swam, and dived, and splashed.
she was in love.
but
Over time
the ocean they once shared
no longer belonged to them
It was his.
All his.
The waves and tides that were once inviting
Were now suffocating.
the once blue waters
were now black.
she finally stopped trying.
she gave up
she let go
she let the tides take her.
she surrendered to his ocean.
She drowned.
6:09 AM
She gave you her heart on a silver platter
you looked at it
touched it
tasted it
and sent it back
like it was a wrong order
it was all she had to give to you
and you sent it back.
4:03 PM
darling listen
never let them define you.
you are beautiful and powerful
you are passionate about what you love
even if you haven’t figured that out yet
you are a jewel
an absolute jewel
12:05 PM
Sometimes
The moon
Is a light
Sometimes
The sun
Is grim
Darkness and light
Light and darkness
Tangled and confused
Do you know the difference?
2:11 PM
When a woman knows what she wants
Like a man does
Its emasculating.
5:03 pm
I wish
that I
was a record
so I could share my beautiful words
with anyone
I could say anything
sing anything
and never get nervous
or scared
but instead
I am
a chapter book
I have beautiful words
inside of me
but
it takes someone to
open me up
acknowledge me
appreciate me
savor me
to feel the love
that I radiate
1:56 PM
fascinating.
that is what I want to be called.
loving
intelligent
captivating
I yearn to be recognized as such.
but alas
the words dripping from your lips
make my beating heart go cold
your words
don’t compliment me
they insult me.
say what I want to hear
call me by my words
